Are you interested in officiating football in the Florida Hillsborough/Pasco county areas? The West Coast
Officials Association provides referees for all middle school, JV and senior
high school games in these counties, as well as various leagues and youth
activities.
All applicants must successfully
complete a training clinic before they will be assigned games. This
clinic is offered free of charge in the spring and early fall. If you are interested in joining our
organization, please complete the form below. In addition, all officials
are required to take a FHSAA national sponsored rules test yearly.
Per state guidelines, you must be at least 18 years
of age to officiate in Florida, although mentor programs are available for
younger individuals.
The tackle
football season
will begin training in August. All training sessions and meeting dates will be posted to the football page
under the WCOA Events Calendar. The joining the WCOA process includes registration
with the WCOA plus fee paid to the treasurer, registration with the FHSAA plus fee,
the state mandatory finger printing and background check, and purchase the proper uniform including jacket. After the season begins, assignment schedules will be
available via the Arbiter software scheduler.
