2007-08 Playoff Crew Requirements

 

 

FHSAA Criteria, mandatory

1. Must have attended field clinic within a four year period
2. Completed current year video rules presentation
3. Take the closed book exam; minimum score of 80
4. Attendance at local association training sessions as determined by association
5. Classified as a Rank 1 or rank 2 official
            a. Rank 1 -
              90 or better on test
              85 or more proficiency points
              Completed video rules presentation for current year
              7 completed years experience with National Federation of State High School Associations in FHAA or other states. 
            b. Rank 2 
              60 or more proficiency points 
              Completed video rules presentation for current year
             3 completed years experience with National Federation of State High School Associations in FHAA or other states.
6. Must have worked district contests

 

WCOA Criteria

  1. Must be a 3 rated official or higher in WCOA
  2. To be on a playoff crew ANY gender you must make yourself available for BOTH girls and boys games during the regular season
  3. Any official who went to State the previous year CAN NOT be on the top 3 crews this year for that gender
  4. Any official on the top 3 crews of one gender CAN NOT be on the top 3 crews of the other gender
  5. Official must be available for ALL State dates in Lakeland
  6. Any official who is not available for ALL 3 regional nights CAN NOT be on the top 2 crews either gender
  7. Any official who is not available for 2 out of the 3 regional nights CAN NOT be on the top 5 crews either gender
  8. Minimum of 1 year in WCOA
  9. Work a minimum of 5 regular season games in that gender
  10. Be required to attend and participate in the WCOA or another approved summer camp, or the WCOA fall clinic
  11. Officiate in the district tournament for that gender

  12. Attend a minimum of 6 out of the 11 scheduled basketball meetings

  13. Attend either a WCOA 3-crew camp or any other acknowledged 3-crew camp within the last 3 years.

  14. In lieu of  number 13, attendance at the WCOA ½ day clinic and participation in 2 scrimmages may qualify yearly, if approved by the board
