The board had a detailed discussion regarding the lack of attendance at basketball meetings, which have been reduced in number.  The majority of the meetings have less than 65% in attendance on a good night. As a result, the excused absence form will be eliminated and no excused absences will be accepted.  Attendance will continue to be recoded and be used an an incentive for post season crews as attendance at a specified number of meetings is mandatory by the FHSAA and WCOA.

The FHSAA registration was reviewed as less than 100 WCOA members have registered with the FHSAA as of the board meeting date.

Per a board consensus and in accordance with the WCOA basketball guidelines, the WCOA basketball registration date will be 09/21/05.

Basketball Vice-president Alan Reed reviewed the state requirements to comply with the Jessica Lunsford act.

Any official desiring to do middle school games must have completed the fingerprinting and background check. Jon Decker distributed the forms.

The next basketball meeting will be on 09/14/05 at Armwood HS at 07:00 PM

The FHSAA state basketball clinic will be on 10/12/05 at Armwood HS, with NO ONE admitted after 07:00 PM
