This page contains the minutes from the 2003-2004 basketball board meetings. 08/13/03- Attendees: John Adejunmobi, Jon Decker, Mike Hegarty, Mike Crosslin, Matt Geer, Jim Eckler, Clem Brooks. 2003-04 Meeting Dates The projected meeting dates were reviewed and those that presented conflicts were changed, as listed below. As Jefferson High School is undergoing renovation, all basketball meetings unless otherwise noted, will be conducted at Chamberlain High School. At least three very important WCOA meetings will be mandatory!! Electronic Delivery of Schedules: Two software providers who can generate email versions for the WCOA basketball schedules, with an automated delivery and online confirmation service that will automatically send schedules to a specific email ID, were reviewed and will be actively solicited. This would require members to have access to emails but provisions are being made for those members who do not have access. This new service will eliminate the necessity of a abundance of phone calls as game confirmations can be made online and all availabilities can be adjusted online. Meeting with member : The board met with a WCOA basketball member to discuss concerns Ratings : The board reviewed the computer ratings of all members to ensure that members are positioned to receive games according to their rankings. This information will be stored in the computer to allow the automatic generation of schedules to the committee for approval or adjustment. Ratings : The board discussed the the forms submitted to the board members, the booking commissioners and senior WCOA basketball members, which rated all 3 and 4 rated officials from a 1 to 32 for the 4's and 1 to 52 for the 3's. Based on a superior majority of votes, performance in the camp, dedication to improvement through summer activities and demonstrated improvement over the last year(s), several promotions were made in each category after extensive discussion. These promotions will be announced in the second basketball meeting on 10/07/03. Tentative (these are not firm) 2003-04 meeting dates :
